Help me to take every thought captive. When my flesh contemplates behavior that goes against your will, give me the wisdom to pray for strength. Instead of my hands reaching for sin, give me the strength and will power to reach for your word. You know that I am weak Father, but your word says, “Your strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) Father, give me the strength to put this discipline to work in my life, so that I am not a slave to every whim and desire of the flesh.
